Hi, I’m Srinithi!
I am a UX designer at Capital One working on auto loan products. Previously, I worked as a product manager at Capital One. I recently graduated from the University of Washington with an M.S. in Information Management, where I learned how to use data in design. I also graduated from the University of Washington in 2020 with a B.S. in Human Centered Design & Engineering and B.A. Biochemistry.
My interest in user experience began while volunteering in a hospital, a fast-paced environment with many devices that had poor user experiences and a high learning curve. While I was having difficulty taking a patient’s blood pressure using a vitals machine, I found myself thinking of ways to improve the user experience. Volunteering at the hospital made me appreciate and value well-thought-out designs.
My first practical introduction to UX was at an accessibility design panel event. I was surprised to hear from people with accessibility issues about how many products they cannot use easily. This piqued my interest in design because I believe that products should be inclusive and enjoyed by all. Design should be used to bring people together, not create divisions. This led me to an interest in inclusive and accessible design.
In my free time, I enjoy painting and exploring new places. Recently, I discovered a new trail in my neighborhood!
